Notes: someplace in the rocky mountains, an odd school of lumped-together buildings houses the students of the mountain desert district. terrakinesis is one of wildbrush's specialties, but it is also known for its formiddable sports teams and curious art. this is where our story takes place.

Notes: Located up against a remote glass beach, fossilwaters specializes in aquakinesis. it is the second largest school in the country. some of the greatest strange musicians in the us have started here, producing everything from punk to pop.

Notes: casa segura is the only school in the country that non-strange people are aware of -- that is, a town of 126 people that mind their damn business. the kids buy from the local businesses, and that's all anyone can ask. casa segura is a competitive football school that is also known for its superstitions. things are a specific way for a reason.

Notes: the largest strange school in the country, high point is a strange mish-mash of cultures. while founded in 1803, it did not incorporate new york until 1912, when the new yorkers' strange high school was burned down by anti-strange bigots. its fencing program is one of its most notable personality traits.

Notes: the youngest of the united states' strange schools, outer edges prides itself on being the first choice for frigukinetic students. also among its strengths are the stem programs, sending dozens of graduates into higher education in stem. this school is perhaps the most difficult to get to without teleportations and portals, as it is inaccessible by car or boat.

Notes: being the smallest school in the united states, freefield students tend to wear a lot of hats, crossing over into many programs and taking on multiple clubs. being in a rural location, the school has a robust future farmers of america program. strange students with animal-related behaviors sometimes choose to go to school here, as it doubles as a ranch that helps feed the local strangetown.

Notes: located in tornado alley, it will come as no surprise that green sky is the ultimate school of choice for many aerokinetic kids and kids with weather-based strange behaviors. it's also home to a large number of 24/7 kids -- kids who never go home. green sky has a reputation for being something of an island of misfit toys.

Notes: heartland home comes by its threatening reputation honestly. the school specializes in taking in kids with dangerous strange behaviors, particularly those related to pyrokinesis. another school located in a rural area, heartland home exists amid cornfields and tractors, and its adjacent strangetown has a largely farming-based economy. their marching band is legendary.

Notes: though located in louisiana, it does not go unnoticed that Pauvre Ti Bête is home to the children of florida man. for this and many other reasons, this school has a reputation for being a party school. that said, its marching band, color guard, and performing arts programs are crisp af.
